Joan Kesner Goodman Rosenberg was born on July 26, 1917, the daughter of Irene K. and Benedict K. Goodman. Joan was a lifelong Highland Park resident and attended Elm Place School and Deerfield-Shields Township High School. She married Homer E. Rosenberg and had three children, Emily Rosenberg, Michael Rosenberg, and Daniel Rosenberg. Joan was active in civic affairs including the Girl Scouts, League of Women Voters, Common Ground, and the Oriental Institute.
